Springfield, MO – Yesterday, aerialist Nik Wallenda became the first person to cross directly over the Jordan Valley fountain on a high wire. “No one had ever thought to do that before,” said Wallenda who just recently crossed Niagara Falls last week.
“After he crossed the horseshoe falls, I’ll believe he could cross over anything on a high wire,” stated Kellen Mishop, “I totally believe he could have chosen something more challenging than a fountain to cross.” Wallenda’s agent Snidly Harfrot confirmed that the aerialist is now wanting to cross anything he possibly can while atop a high wire.
Harfrot said, “See here, Nik already proved to the world that he can cross anything he wants. Except a bulldog and a shih-tzu! Amiright?! Seriously folks, if Nik wants to cross my bathtub I’d let him. He’s earned the right to do what he wants.”
Wallenda’s camp reports that the superstar of sizeable wire crossings will attempt to cross White Water’s lazy Aloha River at Hula Hula Bay next month, given the conditions are favorable. “And by favorable I mean the only risk I’m taking is falling onto an empty tube,” said Wallenda.
Wallenda executed his Jordan Valley fountain walk while dodging several columns of water jetted up toward his wire. “It was something no other human can say they’ve done. And I intend to keep building upon my world records in the Guinness Book of World Records,” laughed Wallenda.
