Local tough guy wants to know if you're better than him

Springfield, MO – Well known watering hole-brawler Frank Esposito was reported polling people in The 13th Step Tavern on Christmas Eve, wondering if anyone, indeed, thought they were better than him.

The whole incident began over a misunderstanding earlier in the evening. It turns out that Mr. Esposito had a “regular” bar stool at The 13th Step and expected it to be vacated upon his arrival in the establishment. When Scott Jones, 37, refused to leave the bar stool in question, Esposito began his series of questions.

After asking Mr. Jones “What, you think you’re better than me?”, Esposito proceeded to make several allegations about Jones’ mother, according to witnesses. Unfortunately for Mr. Esposito, Mr. Jones was, indeed, better than him, at least when it comes to bar-room martial arts. From his vantage point on the floor, Frank Esposito then began asking the bartender and bouncers if they were better than him.

Finally, after local law enforcement was summoned, Mr. Esposito informed them that he “wasn’t going down like that” and proceeded to slap an officer in the face. Ironically, his last words before being Tasered into submission were “What are you gonna do about it? What? You think you’re better than me you filthy p—, ahh!”

It is not known if Mr. Esposito will be publishing the results of his informal holiday survey.
