Billboard Doctors Smoke Regularly

Springfield, MO—A new billboard in town features doctors and nurses wearing gowns, scrubs and coats and proclaims “We’re regular smokers”. The medical community is frustrated by the advertisement suggesting that doctors and nurses endorse smoking.

Nurse Katie Whoah crushed a butt into the ground with her foot and said, “that’s just ridiculous, the medical community may burn a heater every now and then to get through the stress of our God-like profession, but we certainly don’t endorse smoking cigarettes.”

Medical professionals are upset as the advertisement seems to suggest that it is okay to engage in consumption of tobacco products. After speaking with the company behind the billboard, they are amused.

“We simply wanted to say that we enjoy smoking meats. And our nurses are hot, I mean smoking hot. We’re trying to encourage smoking in various ways, not cigarette smoking specifically,” said a Big Tobacco lobbyist from the campus of Duke University.

A surgeon for a local hospital refused to identify himself as he placed a dip in his mouth and said, “listen, do as we say, not as we do. And don’t listen to everything you see on a wooden sign.”

Springfieldian Roger Millerquest said, “I kind of like the billboard, those women are an addiction I don’t want to give up!”
